Burial lots are no longer sold here, but if you have a deed showing that you have burial rights, then you are in.

The cemetery is 44 acres in size. It was established in 1847. And it is owned by the Historical Society of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, which took possession of it in 1997.

A large number of veterans from wars going back as far as the War of 1812 are interred here.

The historical society is doing an excellent job of preserving, restoring and maintaining the cemetery. It is a beautiful park-like setting.

Also, the very interesting Riverside Cemetery is next door.
