Oakland Cemetery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was established in 1891. It is 43 acres in size, and it appears to be well-maintained. Signage says they have burial lots available for purchase. I took a bunch of photos of the cemetery. You can see them here…
Knights of Pythias Greenwood Cemetery has undergone a tremendous transformation. The cemetery was in a state of complete neglect, and now it has been completely turned around. It is a beautiful, well-kept, park-like setting. And burial lots are available.
Saint Dominic Roman Catholic Church Cemetery in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia appears to be at full capacity. It is doubtful any burial lots are still available. Take a look at the satellite image and see for yourself...
Emmanuel Resurrection Episcopal Church Cemetery is located in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was established in the 1860's and has the appearance of a well-maintained burial ground.
Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is a beautiful 20 acre cemetery. Very nicely maintained. And their standards are high.
Chelten Hills Cemetery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was established in 1878. This cemetery is non-sectarian, which means anybody can be buried here. Burial lots are still available. They are not open on Sundays...

Philadelphia National Cemetery is very impressive. It is a military cemetery administered by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. And it is tucked away on 13 acres of ground in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia.
Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia is amazing for its tremendous variety of monuments and mausoleums, for its well-cared-for grounds, for its history, and for its unique beauty.
Mount Peace is a fairly large cemetery. They are no longer selling pre-arrangement burial lots.
People say its a beautiful cemetery, but it is locked-up 24 hours a day. You cannot get in unless you make an appointment. It is also in a state of obvious neglect.
St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, located in the heart of Roxborough, in Philadelphia has a cemetery that surrounds the church. It is still an active cemetery. See it here…
In the past, it appears Leverington Cemetery was a neglected cemetery, but it is being well-care-for now, as these photos show.
The Woodlands Cemetery in Philadelphia has a park-like setting that is enjoyed by joggers and other area visitors from dusk till dawn. It is located close to the University City hospital district.
Ivy Hill Cemetery was established in 1867. It is a non-profit cemetery. And it is quite nice. (See photos.)
